Space+ Astronaut Space Flight: To be Announced after Astronaut selection

Applcation Process

SPACE+ ASTRONAUT APPLICATION PROCESS (only available to Space+ Launch Pass NFT holders)

  • Starting May 10, 2022: Submit Space+ Astronaut Application when the link goes live on the official Space+ website at (agree to application rules and submit a resume in the form of a short essay, video, image, or gif). The application process will also require the applicant to submit their public wallet address that holds the Launch Pass NFT to ensure only current Launch Pass holders are considered for the application.

  • Space+ team will review the applications to select 5 finalists. A Space+ panel will review each applicant blindly without knowing any identifying information about the applicant other than their qualifications and essay response to why they should become the first Space+ Astronaut. The Space+ panel will judge applicants based on the following criteria (ability to comply with Blue Origin physical flight requirements, availability, devotion to space exploration, passion for the Space+ project, and completion of necessary legal application documents).

  • A Space+ panel will select 5 finalists by June 13, 2022. Finalists will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement and accept the application's legal terms and conditions.

  • Finalists have 72 hours to submit a multi-media piece (video, essay, picture, gif) about themselves and why they should be selected by the community to be the first Space+ astronaut.

  • Launch Pass NFT holders will be able to vote through a ranked voting form on the Space+ Discord server to select a finalist. If a finalist is unable to attend the launch, is unable to perform the job requirements, or is not approved by Blue Origin, Uplift will select the next highest voted individual for the space flight until a finalist is selected and announced.

  • The Space+ community member selected to become the first Space+ Astronaut must be a Launch Pass NFT owner at the time of the announcement of the selection to be considered.

  •  Launch Pass NFT holders who are not selected as the Space+ Astronaut, but participate in the community vote to select the finalist, will receive a physical Space+ mission patch that has been to space. The Space+ mission patch will fly to space on the same New Shepard mission as the selected Space+ Astronaut. To be eligible to receive the space-flown mission patch, Launch Pass holders must still own a Launch Pass or Starborn NFT at the time of the launch. This will be verified by taking a snapshot of the NFT wallets at the time of the vote and after the launch.
